The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship inaugurated a Skills4Future electric-mobility and green-skills lab at the National Skill Training Institute in Bengaluru.
The government-industry programme reports reaching more than 290 institutes across five states, training over 70,000 learners, upskilling more than 258 faculty members and establishing 20 electric-vehicle laboratories.
Why it matters
Practical technician capacity is a basic constraint on safe electric-vehicle adoption, maintenance quality and employment in the mobility transition.
