CCPA fines Dial4Trade ₹10 lakh over ammonium-nitrate listings

The Central Consumer Protection Authority has imposed a ₹10 lakh penalty on Dial4Trade Technologies for facilitating online listings and sale of ammonium nitrate without mandatory safeguards.
According to the order described by the government, the platform did not apply required licence verification, buyer-eligibility checks and safety disclosures. CCPA also directed it to stop facilitating the sale of explosive substances.

The action tests how far an online marketplace is responsible for recognising and controlling regulated or potentially dangerous products before they reach buyers.
