Rural-skills drive targets closure records for more than 2,000 legacy projects
Officials from 14 states reviewed documentation and system bottlenecks affecting formal closure of DDU-GKY 1.0 projects.
The Rural Development Ministry has convened officials and technical agencies to address documentation and formal closure of more than 2,000 legacy projects under DDU-GKY 1.0.
Representatives from 14 states discussed project-level bottlenecks and management-information-system issues. The ministry also identified at least 70% placement and stronger employment retention as priorities under DDU-GKY 2.0.
Why it matters
Unclosed projects can weaken financial accountability and make it harder to assess whether publicly funded training led to durable employment.
SCULTRA point of view
The next disclosure should show state-level closure status, unresolved liabilities, audit findings, training completion, verified placement, job retention and wages. Documentation closure should not substitute for outcome reporting.
Limitations
This was a workshop and target statement. It does not report how many projects were formally closed, their financial value or independently verified employment outcomes.
