DRI reports 21 kg gold seizure linked to Myanmar and Nepal routes
Two operations near Palwal and Jewar produced five arrests and revealed vehicle-chassis and body-belt concealment methods.
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence reports seizing about 21 kg of foreign-origin gold in two operations and arresting five people under the Customs Act.
Officers say they recovered 15.18 kg from concealed cavities in two vehicle chassis near Palwal and 5.8 kg from a bus passenger near Jewar. Preliminary intelligence linked the first consignment to Myanmar and the second to a route through Nepal.

The concealment methods and cross-border routes illustrate how organised smuggling can combine logistics, financing and local distribution across several jurisdictions.
