CCI clears L'Oréal India's planned acquisition of Onesto Labs

The proposed transaction covers all shares in the Indian beauty and personal-care company.

By SCULTRA Services Editorial DeskPublished Updated

The Competition Commission of India has approved L'Oréal India's proposed acquisition of 100% of Onesto Labs.

Both companies operate in beauty and personal care, including skin-care and hair-care products. The official notice identifies the transaction and the parties but gives no commercial terms.

Why it matters

The deal would expand a global consumer-products company through an Indian business with locally developed brands and distribution channels.

SCULTRA point of view

The competitive and innovation effects should be assessed through brand autonomy, product investment, channel access, management continuity and consumer choice after closing.

Limitations

Competition approval does not confirm completion. The official release gives no purchase price, integration plan, closing date or detailed market-share analysis.
