CCI clears investment in Great White Global and a linked ITVIS control change
The approved steps affect ownership in electrical products, infrastructure and intelligent-lighting businesses.
The Competition Commission of India has approved a proposed 50% acquisition in Great White Global by three investment funds and continuing promoter parties through linked transaction steps.
The regulator also approved Mehul Shah's proposed sole control of ITVIS Innovations. Great White operates across electrical goods, electrical infrastructure and personal-care products, while ITVIS provides intelligent lighting and automation systems.
Why it matters
The linked control changes affect businesses in electrical products and smart lighting and indicate continued private-capital interest in the sector.
SCULTRA point of view
The two control changes should be assessed separately, with attention to final ownership, financing, governance, closing conditions and the regulator's detailed competition reasoning once available.
Limitations
The release provides no transaction value, closing date or post-closing ownership detail beyond the proposed 50% acquisition. Regulatory approval does not establish that the linked steps have closed.
