The Government of India, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has released its Treasury-bill auction calendar for the quarter ending December 2026.
The calendar contains 13 weekly auctions. Each week is scheduled to include ₹8,000 crore of 91-day bills, ₹8,000 crore of 182-day bills and ₹7,000 crore of 364-day bills, taking the quarter's notified total to ₹2.99 lakh crore.
Why it matters
The calendar gives banks and other market participants advance visibility into the government's planned short-term borrowing supply and settlement rhythm.
SCULTRA point of view
The schedule is best treated as an operating plan. Actual market conditions, auction demand and accepted yields will determine how each issuance is absorbed.
Limitations
