Steel Authority of India reported FY2025-26 revenue from operations of ₹1,10,810 crore, up from ₹1,02,478 crore a year earlier. Profit before tax rose to ₹4,334 crore and profit after tax to ₹3,233 crore.
The company also reported reducing debt by ₹8,148 crore year on year and developing 28 products during the financial year. Its board recommended a final dividend of ₹2.35 per share, subject to shareholder approval.
Why it matters
Product mix, leverage and cash generation influence SAIL's ability to fund expansion, modernisation and lower-carbon steelmaking while serving infrastructure and strategic supply chains.
SCULTRA point of view
The next questions are whether stronger earnings and lower debt persist through the steel cycle, and whether planned capital expenditure improves product mix, operating efficiency and returns without rebuilding financial pressure.
