Dam-safety authority asks Jharkhand for dam-wise evaluation and rehabilitation plans
The review covered safety evaluations, emergency plans, operating manuals and Category-II rehabilitation, including visits to Nalkari and Latratu dams.
The National Dam Safety Authority has reviewed Jharkhand's implementation of the Dam Safety Act, including comprehensive safety evaluations, emergency action plans, operation and maintenance manuals and Category-II dam rehabilitation.
It asked the state to establish independent expert panels, complete dam visits, upload plans and manuals to the DHARMA portal and submit time-bound, dam-wise action plans. The review included visits to Nalkari Dam and Latratu Dam.
