PM Vishwakarma reaches 30 lakh artisan registrations
The programme also reports training, credit and toolkit support, while its longer-term enterprise outcomes remain to be measured.
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises says PM Vishwakarma has registered 30 lakh artisans after three-stage verification in its first three years.
It reports basic skills training for about 24.50 lakh people, concessional loan support of ₹5,297 crore for 6.18 lakh beneficiaries and delivery of 18.15 lakh modern toolkits across 18 traditional trades.
Why it matters
The programme's scale makes it relevant to informal-sector productivity, financial inclusion and the viability of traditional trades.

Registration is an input. Public reporting should follow training completion, loan repayment, business survival, income change, market access, participation by women and regions, and productive toolkit use.
Limitations
The release provides no independent outcome evaluation, income baseline, credit-default data, trade-level completion rate or comparison group. Registration, training, credit and toolkit counts should not be assumed to represent the same people.
