Rajasthan tribal schools to receive 29 computer labs and 116 smart classrooms
The ₹16.01 crore project covers 29 Eklavya residential schools across 11 districts and is planned for completion within six months.
The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation and HPCL have signed an agreement for computer labs and smart classrooms in 29 Eklavya Model Residential Schools across 11 Rajasthan districts.
Each school is to receive four smart classrooms, giving a planned total of 116, plus a networked computer laboratory and supporting power, networking, furniture and safety infrastructure. The ₹16.01 crore project is intended for completion within six months and is projected to reach more than 10,000 students each year.
Why it matters
The project combines devices, networking and classroom infrastructure at a scale large enough to affect digital access across multiple residential schools.

Hardware deployment should be accompanied by reliable connectivity, teacher support, maintenance, accessible content, cybersecurity and usage evidence, not treated as learning impact on installation alone.
Limitations
This is an agreement and planned rollout, not completed deployment. The release gives no per-school device count, connectivity service level, maintenance contract, teacher-training plan, learning baseline or independent impact measure.
