Government prepares a central dashboard for its sixth records and e-waste campaign
The portal is scheduled to monitor activity across 84 Union ministries and departments during preparation in September and implementation in October.
A dedicated portal is scheduled to monitor Special Campaign 6 across 84 Union ministries and departments. Preparation runs from 16 to 30 September, followed by implementation from 2 to 31 October 2026, with a stated focus on e-waste collection, segregation and disposal.
The government says the previous five campaigns and monthly monitoring covered more than 24.20 lakh sites, closed or weeded more than 180.48 lakh files and generated more than ₹5,102.91 crore through scrap disposal.

Central monitoring could make administrative cleanup, records management, office-space recovery and e-waste handling more visible across government.

A useful dashboard should distinguish verified outcomes from self-reported activity, publish ministry-level definitions and preserve records-retention, audit and data-protection safeguards while pursuing cleanup targets.
Limitations
The new portal was announced for launch on 16 September and was not yet an operating result at the source time. Historical totals are government-reported, may combine different periods and do not show net proceeds, audit adjustments, e-waste destinations or records removed in error.
