Youth health campaign reports 175,368 engagements across 167 institutions
The ministry-reported programme combined health checks, nutrition sessions and substance-abuse awareness for young people across educational institutions and adopted villages.
MY Bharat and the National Service Scheme conducted My Health, My Pride activities across 167 educational institutions and adopted villages on 25 September.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports reports 175,368 engagements across the programme. That total includes health checks and body-mass-index assessments for 48,556 people aged 15 to 18, a nutrition session with 64,938 participants and an addiction-awareness session with 61,874 participants. Around 62,000 substance-free pledges were also recorded.
Why it matters
Combining preventive screening with health and substance-abuse education can create a practical entry point for youth outreach if participants receive appropriate follow-up after the event.
SCULTRA point of view
Reach is an input, not the final outcome. Stronger accountability would track referrals after screening, changes in knowledge or behaviour and completion of activities deferred by weather or local observances.
Limitations
All figures are ministry-reported. The release does not establish whether activity counts represent unique people, and it provides no independent evaluation, referral-completion rate or longer-term health outcome.
